Students and a geography professor at Bridgewater State University first proposed that a café be built at Bridgewater State University following a visit to the original Ben Linder Café in León, Nicaragua in January, 2010. Because of the many connections that Bridgewater State students have developed with coffee growers -- particularly those of Nicaragua -- we remain hopeful that the café will be built.
The original Coffee Proposal page remains the best place to begin learning about the Ben Linder Café concept, although some elements would no longer be feasible and we might wish to add others.
